I have finally gotten some software suspend working on my Acer Aspire 5022! I haven't really tried suspend to disk and suspend2 yet but suspend to RAM works like a peach with Powersave! It also has a very user-friendly and feature-rich GUI for KDE. More then worth a try! :]
