I've been planning to write an article on this subject for quite some time now. But I've never found enough time, so someone has beat me to it and wrote an article about it on Free Software Magazine.
Although I don't agree with all what Matt Barton wrote in this article (I do with most things, though!), it is still a great read. The author in this work stresses out the social importance of video/computer games.
All the same, I hope to manage to write an aritcle myself on the same topic – only from a law student's view on the matter.
