As you probably saw in the last edition of Free Software & law related links, we are facing some serious threats to net neutrality and freedom of speech on both the EU and international level.
I urge you to try your best to stop ACTA and IPRED before it's too late – we still live in a democracy, which means that we should have a say when it comes to laws that govern us. So let's do it!
Here are some places to get you started. I'm organising them in geographical order.
Europe:
- FSFE: Criminalisation of copyright and trademark infringement – from a broader perspective, includes IPRED
- La Quadrature du Net: Stop ACTA – probably your best starting point
- FFII: ACTA Blog
- KEI: The Anti-counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)
US:
Canada:
New Zealand:
As you can see, since I'm from Europe, that's what I'm most familiar with. If you have any suggestions links for initiatives (especially outside EU), feel free to tell me.
