Well, it's a bit late for the reply lol, but anyway...
Indeed the xorg.conf does not only looks clean but it also fixed some of my problems with refresh rates with wine and some games (although i had to needed to add some extra modelines for that), and of course it's easier to modify and track prossible problems. While i was at it i got working HAL input the correct way (I always thought it was working good, but i was dead wrong), again thanks for the article, keep it up.
